By the author of Dream of the Dove and The Parrsboro Boxing Club.

Ivor Johnson's Neighbours is a novel that will make you laugh out loud. Set in the 1950s on the edge of a small Maritime town, the story deals with a unique cast of characters trapped by the circumstances of who they are and how they see themselves.

There is Gabby, who above all values her reputation – yet as the story unfolds, she is willing to risk losing it and becoming the object of malicious gossip. There is Edger (always considered less intelligent than his handsome brother), Pearl, and her mother, Minnie, who is transformed into a new woman in one morning. There is muscle-bound and not-too-bright Fudd and the gorgeous Melissa Abbott, whose swaying hips garner the attention of every man on Snake Road. Mink Martin owns the biggest hubcap collection in Canada. Royal has an almost obsessive passion for roses and Duddy is the world's most unlikely Casanova. And in the centre of them all is Ivor Johnson.

Ivor Johnson's Neighbours is Bruce Graham's third novel. His first work, The Parrsboro Boxing Club has been adapted for the stage by the Ship's Company Theatre in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, and his highly successful Dream of the Dove has won many fans of historical novels and high seas adventure, as well as being shortlisted for the Dartmouth Book Award for Fiction.

Bruce Graham's sharp eye for a good story and his insight on public issues make him a popular speaker and social commentator. In recent years, Bruce has branched out into movies. He played Larry King in the TV movie, The Elizabeth Smart Story and a judge in the CBS movie Footsteps. As a reporter and news anchor in radio and television Bruce has won numerous awards including the Ohio State Award for radio documentary and the Atlantic Journalism Award for commentary. Bruce is an honours graduate of Cambridge School, Boston. He now lives on the shores of Armstrong Lake in Hants County, Nova Scotia.

He is also the author of: Diligent River Daughter, The Parrsboro Boxing Club, Dream of the Dove, and Anchorman.
