"We gotta take you to Frenchy's." So begins this rollicking how-to manual, inspired by the Maritime used clothing stores called "Frenchy's." Start with the self-quiz which determines whether you are Frenchy's shopper material. ("Clothes are more comfortable after they've been broken in by somebody else.") Next learn the intricacies of used clothing shopping. From sorting methods (A to B or end-to-end) to Novice Notes ("All boxes anywhere should be inspected"), to 101 Ways to Think Outside the Bins (12 ways to recycle a wedding dress find), the book is interspersed with hilarious "Tales from the Trail." Here is a fresh, new perspective to the world of used clothing shopping, Frenchy's and beyond.
Pat Wilson and Kris Wood have been friends for over 30 years, although they've seldom lived near each other. Instead, they've run businesses, written stories, and collaborated on a multitude of projects all through mail, email, fax, telephone, and the occasional brief visit. Pat is an international speaker. Kris is a certified gerontologist. Both are published authors, as well as bin-shopping aficionados. They now live next door to each other on Sober Island, Nova Scotia.
